The food has been to a high standard and the staff have coped very well with catering for a number of allergies and intolerances. They are luxurious, well thought out and extremely comfortable. Reservations in advance are essential.Situated at 2,700m and accessible via the Grandes Rousses DMC lift, this ice cave was constructed by two mountain guides, Bruon Gardent and Bernard Lambolez. The style is that of a traditional Scandinavian chalet yet with a beautiful contemporary feel. Other companies such as Scott Dunn offer an 8 hour window but you can use the time in two blocks at times set by the customer such as 09:00-12:00 and 15:00-20:00. Plenty of things to do if you want to take a day off from the pistes!The indoor pool at the Palais des Sports is open every day.An outdoor pool may not sound that tempting in the depths of winter but this is kept so warm that it often has steam rising from it! From the km upon km of riding to the Tour de France. Your ski pass includes one day in Les Deux Alpes, so what are you waiting for?!

Alpe d'Huez chalets are luxury chalets in the heart of Alpe d'Huez providing easy access to the Lifts, activities, bars, restaurants and centre. Primarily we have been drawn here because this is a skiers resort; the large beginners plateau, glittering glaciers, lung busting altitude, cast iron snow guarantee, fabulously varied terrain and state of the art lift system make it a skier’s delight no matter what your age and experience.Many years ago accommodation in Alpe d’Huez used to be mainly small apartments and basic hotels, but the standard of accommodation has improved massively since then. One thing we particularly liked was having our boots and skis delivered to the chalet on the first day, a really nice touch and something that has never been done for us in any other resort. At 1860m altitude, the south facing resort benefits form the winning combination of lots of sunshine as well as a great snow record.

Nothing has been too much trouble for her she has been fantastic and we have enjoyed her company a lot. The food on offer was amazing and every dietary requirement was catered for. Both chalets are fully equipped with all modern conveniences including Wi-Fi, satellite TV, luxury bathrooms and living. Even better if there's a plush sofa you can snuggle up on in front of a roaring fire or an outdoor hot tub to unwind in while surrounded by deep powder fields and high snow-capped peaks. There is a reason why for almost every year since 1976, a stage finish has been hosted for the Tour de France.

They are sure to find some of the best off-piste skiing in Alpe d'Huez.EasySki is an independent internationsal ski school in Alpe d'Huez. Wonderful chalet, great hosts who provided us with quality meals and a good all round service. They offer group and private lessons with maximum group sizes of 10 people. 2. the nanny times are set at 8 hours in a straight block. Our private courtyard of piste-side chalets is in the perfect position to enjoy the very best of Alpe d’Huez in luxury never before seen in the resort.Alpe d’Huez is known locally as the Ile de Soleil, Island of Sunshine.Alpe d'Huez is nestled spectacularly in a high altitude bowl with pistes stretching out to every surrounding mountain peak.Night skiing is available most weeks of the season.

All the guests got on very well. But for those with more experience, the challenging Tunnel Run down the front face or the infamous 16km Sarenne run will both take skiers back down to join the rest of the lift system. The area is also home to the longest ski run in the world, the 16km Sarenne which takes about 1Alpe d'Huez boasts glacier skiing on the Sarenne Glacier. Patrick and Jack the chalet hosts were absolutely brilliant, they catered for our every needs from the culinary delights to advice on were to drink!! Arriving in Grenoble however we were provided with one 4 seat car and one 6 seat mini bus meaning families had to split across vehicles. 38750 Huez, France 860 snow making machines cover 72km of the 237km of skiing. The breakfast was nice, however mini croissants baked off from frozen, when you are getting fresh baguettes from the bakery, is just mean.
