The bathroom opens directly onto the bedroom but affords enough privacy (and the toilet is separate).

We had it to ourselves most of the time and the good thing was that they did not enforce the "speedo" rule. The trip advisor team have suggested that I am confused about the hotel.

There was a spa in the hotel but was quite expensive so we did not use it. We arrived early and asked if our room might be ready; we were told it was not which was understandable but we were disappointed that no call was made to housekeeping to check or to see if our room could be prioritised; on inquiring again, close to 3pm check-in time, such a call was made and confirmed that the room was not ready; we waited in reception but no-one told us that the room was ready and, ultimately, it was well after 3pm that we got our room.
